Practical emotional wellbeing and resilience programmes for your primary school.

Give children practical ways to understand their feelings, build coping skills and develop resilience. Fresh Little Minds combines creative learning with the AMBER Approach, giving adults a clear structure and resources to support children’s emotional wellbeing.

Choose a programme delivered by an approved Fresh Little Minds practitioner, or build your school’s capacity through FLM Sunrise, which trains and equips your own Key Stage 1 staff.

Children learn through experiences, relationships and opportunities to practise. Fresh Little Minds brings emotional wellbeing into school life through structured, creative activities and practical tools that adults and children can use together.

Our approach helps schools develop shared language around feelings and coping, with resources that make the learning visible and accessible in the classroom.

The AMBER Approach

The AMBER Approach sits at the heart of Fresh Little Minds. Anchor, Move, Breathe, Express and Relax provide a shared framework for supporting emotional wellbeing through practical activities and classroom resources.

Staff introduce the approach through the programme and can return to its tools throughout the school day, helping children connect their learning with everyday experiences.

FLM Sunrise equips Key Stage 1 teachers and school staff to deliver Fresh Little Minds within their own classrooms. Schools receive training, physical and digital resources, evaluation tools and support throughout delivery.

The trained adult remains in the classroom, where the programme’s tools and approaches can become part of everyday school life. Sunrise is aligned with the Northern Ireland PDMU curriculum at Key Stage 1.

Fresh Little Minds GROW and INSPIRE are delivered directly by approved or licensed Fresh Little Minds practitioners. Contact us to discuss your pupils’ needs and which programme may suit your school.
