A Grief-Informed Emotional Health Community Model for Northern Ireland
Strengthening Community Grief Literacy & Emotional Containment.
Love, made practical
Who We are:
Fresh Minds Education exists for a simple but urgent reason: No child or young person should face grief alone.
We are a Northern Ireland–based charity working at the intersection of bereavement, emotional distress, community, and public health. Our work supports children and young people experiencing loss, but crucially, we do much of this by strengthening the adults, communities, and systems around them. We recognise a fundamental truth: we cannot take away pain-but we can reduce aloneness and enable compassionate skilled communities. Everything we do is grounded in this belief.
A Different way of Understanding Grief
Fresh Minds Education works from a grief-informed framework that understands grief as not a problem to fix, but as a natural, relational, and embodied response to loss.
Grief is not linear. It is not something to “complete.”
It is not something a child, or an adult, should have to carry alone.
It is not something a child, or an adult, should have to carry alone.
Support, therefore, must do the same.
